Hey, I just wanted to ask how things are going for you post MFA and how the transition to showing your work after graduation has been. I like your work and was actually able to check it out during one of your open studios but didn't get a chance to say hello at the time unfortunately. Hope all is well. See ya.
Things are going well. Leaving LA—and the art community there—was pretty scary, but I’ve been lucky enough to have had/been in a few shows since graduating in June. I’m still learning how the system works. Figuring this art stuff out is just part of the larger project of figuring out what my adult life is going to be like. Right now, I’m more focused on getting new work done than I am on showing (but still always hoping to show, of course).
I wish you’d said hello at Open Studios! Hope school is going well for you, and I’m sorry your first East Coast winter has been so gross.
